Since 1964, Hyundai Oilbank has ensured stable petroleum supply and supported Korean industrial growth. The company operates the Daesan factory with 390,000 barrels daily refining capacity and pioneered Korea's first intermediate oil decomposition facility in 1988, achieving top domestic efficiency by 2011.
Hyundai Oilbank has evolved into a comprehensive energy enterprise through expansion into BTX, lubricants, and mixed xylene manufacturing. In 2012, they partnered with Shell to establish a factory producing 650,000 tons of lubricants annually, followed by launching HYUNDAI XTeer vehicle lubricants in 2013, creating full vertical integration from refining to finished products.
The company established a Lubricant Research Center in Yong-in in 2015 to enhance market responsiveness and serves as headquarters for developing high-quality lubricants through collaborations with Hyundai's technical centers. They produce specialized lubricants for automotive, shipbuilding, and construction machinery while leveraging partnerships with Hyundai Heavy Industries and Hyundai Motor Company.

Beyond lubricants, Hyundai Oilbank has diversified into vehicle aftermarket products, including "HYUNDAI XTeer Alpha" fuel additive using German BASF materials and "Pronox" urea water for reducing diesel emissions. These products have successfully expanded their market presence and sales network.
